When I joined Acoustic, the company’s Decibel design system was in a strange place. It had good bones, but the wrong foundation.
What was once IBM’s Carbon system had been reskinned after the divestiture, and somewhere along the way, accessibility, governance, and adoption had started to slip. My job was to get it back in shape and make it work for Acoustic’s very different needs.
